What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are stored in your browser and sent back to the website on subsequent visits. Cookies help websites remember information about your visit — such as whether you have already seen a consent notice — so you do not need to make the same choices every time.

Cookies do not access other files on your device. They cannot run programs or install software. They simply store small pieces of information related to how you interact with a website.
