Your Retirement Papers, Sorted and Ready
Emberkeep helps you organise pension and employment records, prepare the right questions, and correspond clearly with institutions — so you arrive at any professional consultation fully prepared.
What We Offer
Three ways to help you bring order to retirement papers and prepare for conversations with registered professionals. All work is clerical and educational in nature.
Question Preparation Session
A ninety-minute session to write down, in order of importance, the questions you want to put to a qualified professional about your retirement records. You leave with a printed question sheet, a document checklist, and a directory of registered practitioners in Penang.
- Prioritised question sheet
- Matching document checklist
- Penang practitioner directory
- Education and preparation only
Records Sorting Appointment
A half-day appointment in which a coordinator sorts your papers by employer and year, builds a printed index, labels the physical file, and produces a scanned mirror on storage you control. Concludes with a written gap list and a blank maintenance sheet.
- Sorted and indexed physical file
- Scanned copy on your own storage
- Written gap list of missing records
- Clerical work only
Five-Month Coordination Programme
For households corresponding with more than one institution over an extended period. Includes a master register, a dated log of correspondence, fortnightly check-in calls, and a bound chronology for handover to a professional. No advice given, no one's name acted in.
- Master register and correspondence log
- Fortnightly check-in calls
- Bound chronology for professionals
- Handover pack and digital copy
Why People Choose Emberkeep
We do one thing well: bringing order to retirement and pension paperwork so that your time with a qualified professional is spent on substance, not sorting through folders.
Calm, Unhurried Approach
No pressure, no countdown language. We work at a pace that suits you, with space to think through what matters most.
Paper-First, Jargon-Free
Every document is handled physically and described in plain language. Nothing is interpreted beyond its face value; meaning stays with you and your chosen professional.
Clear Boundaries
We do clerical and educational work only. No legal, financial, or medical advice is given at any point. The limits of our work are stated plainly before you book.
Your Data Stays Yours
Scanned copies go to storage you control. We hold no copies of your documents beyond the appointment and do not share your records with anyone.
Based in George Town
Walk-in appointments at our Jalan Perak office or scheduled visits at a time that works for you. Serving Penang residents and those with records held in Malaysian institutions.
Ready for Professional Handover
Every file we prepare follows a consistent structure that registered financial planners, legal practitioners, and EPF advisors can read without further sorting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions people ask before booking with Emberkeep.
What exactly does Emberkeep do?
Emberkeep provides clerical and educational support for people managing pension and retirement paperwork. We sort documents, build indexes, prepare question lists, and coordinate correspondence with institutions. We do not give legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind.
Is this a financial advisory service?
No. Emberkeep is a records organisation and question preparation service. Nothing we do constitutes financial, legal, or investment advice. For advice on your specific pension or retirement entitlements, you will need to consult a licensed financial planner or legal practitioner. We can include a directory of registered practitioners in Penang with your session notes.
What kind of documents do people typically bring?
People commonly bring EPF statements, employer contribution letters, pension scheme correspondence, old payslips, letters from the Retirement Fund Incorporated (KWAP), and institution reference numbers. We work with whatever you have and note what appears to be missing.
How long does each service take?
The Question Preparation Session runs for ninety minutes. The Records Sorting Appointment is a half-day commitment, typically three to four hours. The Five-Month Coordination Programme spans five months with fortnightly check-in calls of around thirty minutes each.
Where are appointments held?
Our office is at 58 Jalan Perak, 10450 George Town, Penang. Walk-in appointments are welcome during office hours. If mobility is a concern, please call us and we will discuss options.
What happens to my documents after the appointment?
All original documents are returned to you on the day. Any scanned copies are transferred to storage you provide and control — a USB drive or external hard disk. We retain no copies after the appointment concludes.
Can I pay in instalments for the Five-Month Programme?
Yes, the Five-Month Coordination Programme can be paid in two parts — one at commencement and one at the midpoint. Please ask about this when you make your initial enquiry.
